Dear Yogis,
Following the program in Kuala Lumpar the Tour departed to our the next destination of Seremban. The city is close to Kuala Lumpar about an hour’s drive away. The area is known as a producer of palm oil so once we had commenced our journey we passed hills full of palm trees.
We arrived in Seremban to be greeted by the local Yogis who then took us for an Indian banquet lunch, served traditionally on a banana leaf plate. This reminded many of us of similar meals we had enjoyed together in the past sitting on the earth of rural India, enjoying a shared meal on a similar Tour.
We were billeted to stay with the local Yogis at a number of their homes, which is a really Sahaj way to enjoy your time in a new place. We are showered with the gracious hospitality and love of our local brothers and sisters as we are invited into their families and homes to spend some time with their families.
Families in Malaysia it seems live in the more traditional way with many generations of the family living together. It is very nice to see a grandmother holding her grandchildren, while mum is cooking breakfast and grandfather and dad are reading the paper in the living room enjoying their morning tea. It creates a great sense of love and security in the family home. We felt very privileged to be invited to share some time in such a loving environment
That night the program was held in a local community hall. The room can normally accommodate 500 people, due to the overwhelming response another 50 chairs were added and still another 50 people were standing at the back of the hall, so in all 600 attended the program. A great response for the efforts of the local yogis in promoting the program.
The programs held in Malaysia on Tour have been of the more traditional format with an MC introducing the program, our musicians performing to help lift the vibrations and to begin our spiritual work. Then self realisation is granted followed by sometime of meditation, then followed by more music and much dancing.
‘ …soon the audience were also up on their feet and dancing with us all.’
The audience were a little more reserved than in Vietnam and need the active participation and prompting from the Yogis to encourage their active participation in the joy of the moment through dancing, but through our concerted efforts soon the audience were also up on their feet and dancing with us all.
It was a program which was a great lift also to the local collective whose faces were beaming with happiness and joy. It is one of the added advantages of the Tours with respect to the lift and encouragement they provide to the local collectives.
So now in the morning we pack up, on our buses and onto Malacca and the next stop of our Malaysia Tour
