India/Nepal Tour 11th April, 2015
Jay Shri Mataji
Dear Yogis,
Following the program at Nirmal Prem, the next day the group again returned to visit Nirmal Dham. The experience from the previous day had moved us so much we were drawn back. There is a spiritual power here both deep and profound at so many subtle levels. One is naturally humbled here. The meditations effortless and moving. At quiet times walking around the grounds, wet green grass under foot. Times of quiet solitude. You feel your chakras clearing in the most simple and natural means. Less through a formal treatment yet more as a gift given.
What a time shared in Bhakti and devotion
On this occasion we were able to offer to Shri Mataji music offered inside the space where She has been laid to rest. What a time shared in Bhakti and devotion. Each Yogi expressing feelings drawn from deep within the soul of love and Bhakti. All then joined together, woven as different notes expressed individually yet joined as one expression offered to Our Mother. We sang with heart and soul. Time stood still. All of our attention fixed upon the formless Nirakara form of Our Mother in whose loving embrace we could feel ourselves placed.
We then left Nirmal Prem for the beautiful and elegant home of our hosts while in Delhi who were hosting the group for a program held at their home. Their home was surrounded with beautiful lawns, water pools, and impeccably designed, crafted and decorated. We were setup for a Puja and a performance in their spacious entertainment area. The program commenced with devotional Bhajans leading into a Puja offered to Our Mother. All who had assembled offered Puja. The group then performed bhajans for all the Yogis who had come to enjoy a night of music, Sahaj collectivity, in the company of friends new and old.
Greeted by a sea of smiling faces
The next morning, very early rise to the Airport to board our flight to Lucknow. We were only visiting in transit on our way to Gorakpur. When we landed and exited the airport we were greeted by a sea of smiling faces of the local Yogis. Although we were not hosting a program in Lucknow, yet the Yogis had come out to welcome us in large numbers, and with incredible sweet innocence and purity. I know in the west we would not do likewise for our guests, so in this respect we learn at the feet of the great land of India in the deeper aspects of the culture of the heart. After many hugs exchange of roses, gifts and sweets we decided to sing a bhajan outside the airport terminal as a small gesture of thanks.
We then boarded our buses for Gorakpur, some of the local Yogis from Lucknow joining us to assist along the way. Sitting in an Indian bus once more with Yogis by our side travelling down the roads and byways of India, the beautiful rural countryside of this great land rolling by as we bounce along the highway to our destination. A five hour journey, mild by past standards, the obligatory chai stop along the way. Yogis nodding in half sleep, half wakeful, others pulled out their instruments to play music and sign, other in earnest conversation.
Response to the program had been tremendous.
When we arrived in Gorakpur we checked into our Hotel, quickly changed and took the short journey to the Public Program. The venue was a large Hall, with an elevated stage. Just outside was another area of equal size with a Video Relay from inside the Hall to accommodate the additional people who may attend. As we entered the Hall was already filled with around a thousand people. Prior to the commencement of the program the outside area was also equally full with new people. The response to the program had been tremendous.
The program commenced with music to lift the vibrations, followed by a speech by Uncle Rommel who spoke passionately about Sahaja Yoga. His great depth of knowledge upon the subject matter of Indian spirituality allows him to position the advent of Sahaja Yoga as a historical and spiritual necessity. He spoke with great passion which he imparted upon the audience. As he comes from the region he called to his fellow countrymen to come and claim their birth right, to take their Realisation, and to take to the way of life to which they were destined.
Following Self Realisation, there was further music expressing the unique Divine enlightened nature of Sahaja Yoga, uplifting, liberating and of course joyous. There was much dancing and revelry in that spontaneous manner we love when we come to India. Smiling unaffected people living and expressing their joy.
It was great to be back in India, back travelling the roads of this sacred land spending time with the great and simple noble souls derived from this great Land of Bhoomi Devi.
The next day we were off to Kushingar.
